In the autumn of 2018, the 2nd Edition of Gilleon’S Hope & Friends present Divine Spoken Word was a reality!
The line-up was packed with young talented female poets and spoken word artists who were ready to bless the audience with their authentic stories. The ticket sale was off the hook and approximately 80 people were in The Living Room of God’s Embassy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
‘A gift from Moksi Illustrations’
This edition had a creative and cultural twist to it. The first art expo was held by Moksi Illustrations and Collagist Wendy Varela. CL Frequency sponsored three Gospel DJ’s who created the atmosphere with amazing music rhythms. A company named ‘Zoete Liefde’ sold the cutest postcards with sweet poetry. The drinks and snacks were inspired by my country of birth, Suriname in South America and catered by ‘Altijd Lekker’.
During the openingsact and open mic, many upcoming gospel artists of The European Gospel Music and Entertainment Academy and poets in the audience were able to share the stage with us. Everybody was phenomenal and tears flowed. It was an evening filled with: hope, faith and lots of love!
‘Gilleon’S Hope Spoken Word Event’
At the after party the guests had the time to digest the warmth of the event. They mingled with each other and got some last minute goodies to take home as precious memories. While we all celebrated and danced the night away, photographer Manoah Gootjes captured the essence of this moment in time!
